The situation of VN in relation to China and the U.S. and the course of action to save our country from becoming a part of China
The Viet Democratic Side’s International Forum
In July 2019, there were two important events happening to the people of VN that can affect VN in the future:
1. NGUYEN THI KIM NGAN - Chairwoman of Vietnam’s National Assembly - had an official visit to China, at the invitation of Chinese National People’s Congress (NPC) Chairman Li Zhanshu from July 8 - 12, 2019. She also had a meeting with Jiehe Yan - Chairman of the China Jiangxi Corporation in Nanking, to offer Vietnam’s North/South High-speed Project to this Chinese company. On the other hand, she also met with Xi Jinping - Secretary General of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and China’s Head of State, to work on the issues relating to Vietnam/China relations (probably the important things are the Three Special Economic Zones Bill (Van Don, Northern Van Phong, Phu Quoc) and the involvement of Vietnam to “ONE BELT ONE ROAD INITIATIVE”). Vietnam will be vulnerable to China’s manipulation after giving them the Three Special Economic Zones, the North South High-speed Project, and such important ports as Hai Phong, Quy Nhon, Van Phong along Vietnam’s seashore; not to say China’s domination and militarization of the Paracel Islands and 7 entities (built by China from 2013- 2015) in the Spratly Islands. Both Paracel and Spratly Islands have belonged to Vietnam indisputably, but China forcibly occupied them in 1974 (the Paracel) from the Republic of VN and 1988 (Johnson Reef and other entities) from the Socialist Republic of VN. Now, China behaves like it has sovereignty over nearly 90% of the Eastern Sea of VN (or South China Sea on the map) according to its Nine-Dash-Line that the PCA rejected this claim in the judgment of July 12, 2016 to award the Philippines its case (the Philippines v/s China on the Nine-Dash-Line and other issues).
2. From July 3 until now (date of writing of this article was July 24, 2019), China has brought to the area of Vanguard Bank which belongs to VN undeniably, its Hai Yang Dizhi 08 and its two maritime coastal guard vessels (one with 12,000-ton capacity) to do survey in the area. Vietnam deployed 4 coastal police vessels to do its job of preventing China’s force from doing something wrong to the sovereignty of VN. The situation has not been clear until July 20 when the U.S. State Department via its Spokeswoman announced U.S. criticism against China’s action at Vanguard Bank (Vietnam’s Spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had a press conference on July 19, 2019 to say that China has violated Vietnam’s sovereignty at Vanguard Bank as it moved Hai Yang 08 and its support vessels to Vietnam’s waters at this area.) China objected to the U.S. criticism but certainly victims of China such as Vietnam, the Philippines... did welcome it.
The problem for VN is the Communist Party of VN (CPV) was created by the CPC in the 1930s in China; Ho Chi Minh was installed by the CPC to lead the CPV, and as a result, the CPV has become a chapter of the CPC. Therefore, leaders of the CPV, since the 1930s, have become SERVANTS FOR BEIJING, from Ho Chi Minh, Pham Van Dong, Truong Chinh, Le Duc Tho, Nguyen Van Linh, Do Muoi, Le Kha Phieu, Nong Duc Manh, and now: Nguyen Phu Trong, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Tran Quoc Vuong... To change VN, we need to change the regime; and as a result, to terminate the roots of the CPV from the CPC, then the Chengdu Agreement will have no effect anymore. The Chengdu Agreement is nothing other than a repeat that VN belongs to China, or VN is only a part of China.
To change our fate, the people of VN have to rise up to remove the SERVANTS FOR BEIJING, followed by a change of the regime: the new regime will be changed from a chapter of the CPC to an independent nation: a democratic nation.
An approach and course of action to attain this objective is what the people of VN have to work together urgently in the days ahead.
At this time, in 2019, the people of VN have the following favorable factors to launch the VN Revolution:
(1) The U.S./China Trade War (and Total War) has been exploded, with China on the failure side.
(2) The internal circus of the CPV is in a crisis, following the stroke of Nguyen Phu Trong - Secretary General of the Party and Head of the State - on April 14, 2019 in Kien Giang. Right now, his situation is up and down (he failed to attend the National Assembly’s important meeting of May 29, 2019 to deal with Convention #98) and his expected trip to the U.S is now in doubt (Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan may replace him). The struggle between the candidates for the positions of Secretary General and Head of State (such as Tran Quoc Vuong, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Nguyen Xuan Phuc...) is fierce these days.
(3) The Hong Kong Revolution of June and July 2019 against the Hong Kong Legislative Council’s Extradition Bill, with the risings of the people of Hong Kong on June 6, June 12, June 16 (with more than 2 million people, or 27% of the population), has a lot of INSPIRATION EFFECT on the people of VN.
The people of VN should manage to select certain democracy activists (or youth leaders) to lead the VN Revolution, with a clear goal: removing the SERVANTS FOR BEIJING, who are in the process of turning VN into a part of “ONE BELT ONE ROAD” of China, as well as inviting Chinese people to enter VN unchecked.
To perform this great task, the Charter 2000 Movement opened its 2019 Contest, with subjects on the VN Revolution, the U.S./China Trade War and its effects on VN, the Inspiration and the Experiences of the Hong Kong Revolution of summer 2019 toward the struggle forces in VN...
